　　第五講：完形與閱讀

　　完形填空考查的是考生對(duì)文章的理解。這也是對(duì)考生能否將語(yǔ)言的基本知識(shí)運(yùn)用到實(shí)際的閱讀當(dāng)中的一種考查方式。這種理解只要求對(duì)文章所涉及的時(shí)間的明了，而不涉及深層次的探討。所以考生一定要明白發(fā)生了什么，才能選出正確的答案。完形填空的出題方式是從原文中抽出15個(gè)詞，以此詞為中心給出15組選項(xiàng)，每組四個(gè)選項(xiàng)，要求考生根據(jù)上下文從中選出正確的詞填入空中，以符合原文的意思。

　　完形填空的做題步驟通常為四步。第一步，細(xì)讀文章開(kāi)頭。文章開(kāi)頭第一句和第二句很重要，它告訴讀者這篇文章是關(guān)于什么的。第二步，快速通讀全文。這一步要速度快、粗略，目的是了解文章大意，為選擇正確答案打基礎(chǔ)。第三步，選擇正確答案。這一步要求考生隨時(shí)顧及上下文，一定要根據(jù)上下文辨析所給四個(gè)選項(xiàng)的詞義，選擇答案。第四步，通讀全文。這次的通讀是將所有空填好后的通讀，檢查所選詞是否符合上下文的意思。

　　其中的第三步是真正的做題步驟。完形填空的出題方式以詞為主，名次、動(dòng)詞的各種形式，以及形容詞、副詞、介詞、連詞、代詞等。下面就以2009年的真題為例做一個(gè)較細(xì)致的講解。

　　（下）閱讀理解

　　閱讀考查考生在英語(yǔ)閱讀時(shí)的理解、歸納、推斷、引申及對(duì)細(xì)節(jié)掌握的能力。與完形天空相比較，閱讀雖不需要句句細(xì)讀，但更要求考生對(duì)所給文章有較深層次、較寬范圍的理解和思考。這類題雖不直接考查英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)，但考生只有對(duì)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)有了一定的掌握，才可能對(duì)文章有比較完全、正確的理解，而只有對(duì)文章有比較完全、正確的理解，方可做出正確的選擇。這部分共有5篇文章，20道題，每題4個(gè)選項(xiàng)。文章的體裁及題材包羅萬(wàn)象。無(wú)論出現(xiàn)什么樣的文章，考生只掌握一個(gè)原則，即只按文章所給信息答題。

　　閱讀類答題的方法比較靈活，但考生應(yīng)有一定的閱讀技巧。所謂閱讀技巧是指細(xì)讀和略讀。什么地方需要讀，什么地方需要略讀，考生可根據(jù)所給的題目作出判斷。不過(guò)，通常情況下，文章的第一段和最后一段對(duì)文章中心、作者態(tài)度的題很重要。文章的中間部分對(duì)有關(guān)文章細(xì)節(jié)的題很重要。各段的中心句對(duì)文章整體歸納和對(duì)有關(guān)文章標(biāo)題類的題目很重要。

　　下面就以2011年的真題中的閱讀部分的文章為例做比較詳盡的解釋。

　　Passage One

　　June came and the hay(干草)was almost ready for cutting.On Midsummer's Eve,which was a Saturday,Mr.Jones went into Willington and got so drunk at the Red Lion that he did not come back until midday on Sunday.His men had milked the cows in the early morning and then had gone out chatting without bothering to feed the animals.When Mr.Jones got back,he immediately went to sleep on the living-room sofa with the"News of the World"over his face.When evening came,the animals were still not fed.At last,they could stand no longer.One of the cows broke into the door of the storehouse with her horns and all the animals began to help themselves to the grains.
